Updated Photo of the Moment 5 December 2009

I just updated the Ayu Photo of the Moment (which I will update randomly as I find or think of interesting pictures)… This photo was published in Weekly Famicom magazine (December 16, 1994 issue) along with a short interview with Ayu and Kiyomi. This picture was taken 15 years ago, almost to the day, and it’s always fun to reminisce!
Ayu & Yamamoto Kiyomi were the co-hosts of the short-lived entertainment news program “Hot Information Press,” or “HIP” for short. The girls were nicknamed the “Hippers” after the program’s title.
Here’s a translation of the very small interview included in the magazine.
Are you always on good terms?
Kiyomi: Yeah, we get along great.
Ayumi: When we auditioned, it just so happened that we were next to each other.
Well then, were you surprised when you both passed?
Ayumi: Yeah. The staff too, I’m sure, since they saw the two of us talking to each other.
Kiyomi: We separated ourselves from the other “Hippers” since we were the oldest. I’m 22 and Ayumi is 16.
Ayumi: To me, Kiyomi is like a big sister. We joke around like sisters when we’re together (laughs).
